Andrew Hutchison, Managing Director and the Southern Star Team (Julie, Luke and Damien) extend a warm welcome to all our new friends from Lavalink. We would all like to thank Mark Francis for his valuable assistance and wish him all the best in the future.

Southern Star will endeavour over the next few weeks to make the transition to the Southern Star network as easy as possible. There are only a few small changes to the way you connect to the Southern Star. See the new settings below.

  • UPDATE - 06-03-02 16:31 - The mail server is now fully functional. Check your email settings.
  • Access to FREE Email Anti-Virus Protection Service (worth over $40) for the next 12 months.
  • Access to a dedicated LAVALINK HELP LINE.
  • Access to a great range of SSC access plans and services.

About Southern Star Internet.
Southern Star or SSC as it is generally known, is a well-established ISP (We started in 1997.) serving the North and Western regions around Melbourne. We offer a full range of internet-related services to customers as far a field as Castlemaine, Daylesford, Trentham and Bacchus Marsh to the North and West, Gisborne, Macedon, Mt Macedon, Kyneton, Romsey, Woodend and Lancefield in the Macedon Ranges region, Kilmore, Wallan, Seymour and Yea to the north of Melbourne.
We also provide access to a great many home and business customers within Metropolitan Melbourne.  We have Points of Presence (POPs) at Broadford, Kyneton and Sunbury. 
Our access service includes 56k and ISDN modem access, ADSL & DSL service to business and Satellite access to areas within our call zone. we also provide web-related and network services to a many small and medium business in the area.
SSC has grown because of our commitment to our customers....we intend to maintain that commitment to our new friends from Lavalink.

The dialup Username is no longer in the form of your Lavalink Email address.
Change your username  as follows.
e.g. joe@lavalink.com.au, change the dialup username to -  joe
